The hungarian partner company of the World Association of Sleep Medicine / World Sleep Society, the Hungarian Sleeping Association has announced 2020 as the Year of Sleep. It is widely known that not sleeping enough is unhealthy, but maybe more less people heard about that researchers think that it is much worse, when the sleeping process is getting disturbed multiple times during the night.

Those who are startled out of their sleeps are spending less time in the deep sleep phase, which is the so-called restoring sleep. It is important to assure the right time and place for our sleep in order to start the next day with energy and to spend the rest of it productive. In Hungary, more than 30% of the adult population fights with sleeping problems. We sleep less and less and worse, while the number of our tasks and things to do is not decreasing.

The World Sleep Day is opening event had been planned to take place at Hungarian Academy of Sciences, but it had to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 coronavirus.
